Dr. Burton H. Langer is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, graduated from Cheltenham High School, and attended LaSalle University on a full academic scholarship, earning a bachelor's degree in biology maxima cum laude with general college honors. He received his doctorate of medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Dr. Langer completed his pediatric internship and residency at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where he developed an interest in general pediatrics and entered private practice in 1989. Since 1991 he has been in practice on the Main Line, and on the active staff of Lankenau, Bryn Mawr and Paoli Memorial Hospitals. In 2000 Dr. Langer assumed the role of managing partner of our practice, formerly called Pediatric Associates of the Main Line, continuing in that role as care center vice president of Advocare Main Line Pediatrics. He also serves on the Board of Managers of Advocare, LLP and on its executive committee as the Pennsylvania representative.

Dr. Langer and his wife, who is also a physician, take pride and joy in raising their three daughters, the oldest of whom is considering a career in medicine.
