Ellie Josel CRNP

Specialty: Pediatrics

Elianne Josel is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and member of both The National Association of Nurse Practitioners and The American Academy of Pediatrics. Born and raised in Phoenixville, PA, Ellie is very
familiar with the Greater Philadelphia Area and enjoys each town's individual sense of community. Ellie graduated from Penn State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She started her healthcare
career as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse at Hershey Medical Center and later moved to Washington DC and joined the NICU team at Children’s National Medical Center. During her three years at Children’s, Ellie was
integral in many unit practice changes and initiatives. She won a hospitalwide nursing award for “New Knowledge, Improvements & Innovation” for a project she initiated that aimed to decrease ventilator-associated
pneumonias in intubated neonates.

Ellie and her husband made the decision to move out of the city and back to the area when she was offered a job in the NICU at CHOP. Having been a preceptor and mentor for new nurses throughout in her career, Ellie developed a major interest in educating others, which led her to pursue an advanced nursing degree as a Nurse Practitioner at The University of Pennsylvania. She chose pediatric primary care as a specialty because of the opportunities for health promotion and education.

Ellie spent 7 months of her clinical experience at Advocare Main Line Pediatrics. She enjoyed the atmosphere and quality of care provided to the patients and was thrilled when she was offered a job with the practice following her graduation in 2017. Ellie is currently in the process of becoming a certified Lactation Consultant as well. She is committed to helping mothers breastfeed and succeed at lactation. Ellie also has a special interest in the care of young women and adolescent female health concerns. When Ellie is not at work she enjoys cooking, dining at new restaurants with her husband, Brian, watching the Eagles and Penn State football with family and friends, and traveling. Ellie and Brian are happily anticipating a baby this spring!
