Dr. Joshua Rabinowitz received his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College in Vermont and his doctor of osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians and a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. Since completing his residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in 1992, he has been practicing general pediatrics on the Main Line in suburban Philadelphia. He is currently a partner with Advocare Main Line Pediatrics and the founder/director of the Advocare Newborn Network.

Dr. Rabinowitz has served as Division Chief Well Baby Nurseries, at the Main Line Health Hospital System since 1998 and MLH Department of Pediatrics,Campus Chief, Paoli Hospital since 2020. His passion for improving newborn care led him to create the Advocare Newborn Network, a private practice dedicated to providing expert, compassionate, supportive care of the newborn and their families in the first days and weeks of life as they navigate the social, emotional and nutritional challenges of early infancy. 

As a leader in the local pediatric community, Dr. Rabinowitz has frequently been consulted by the media on a variety of topics ranging from "back to school preparedness" to the "flu epidemic" to "ADHD". He is a member of the Pediatric Executive Committee for Main Line Health, an adjunct faculty member for the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and occasional preceptor for third and fourth-year medical students. He is on the active staff of the Main Line Health Hospitals (Lankenau, Bryn Mawr and Paoli Memorial) and is an affiliate staff member of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). 

He lives in Germantown with his partner, Andrea, enjoys mountain biking and skiing, and is the proud father of Lucy, Ethan and Simon!
