Pediatrics

Dr. Michael Devon is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in economics, then spent the next seven years teaching mathematics to junior and senior high school students in Manhattan and suburban Philadelphia. When it was time to make a change, and the teacher decided to become a student once again, he completed the pre-medical post baccalaureate program at Bryn Mawr College and then returned to the University of Pennsylvania to attend medical school. Finding once again that he enjoyed working with children and adolescents, he decided to pursue a career in pediatrics.

Dr. Devon completed his pediatric internship and residency at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where he was asked to serve as Pediatric Chief Resident. He stayed at CHOP for the next four years, serving as a clinician educator while seeing patients and guiding the careers of countless residents and medical students. In 2006 Dr. Devon joined the practice that became Advocare Main Line Pediatrics. He is on the medical staffs of Lankenau, Bryn Mawr, and Paoli Hospitals.

Dr. Devon thoroughly enjoys primary care pediatrics as he spends his days taking care of children from newborns through college students. Dr. Devon and his wife are the parents of three children. He enjoys sports and the outdoors, and finds each day an adventure. Dr. Devon says, "I love my work, and I think that it shows."
